Taking It Lying Down!

Diamonds,
What do you do when your being mistreated? Insults being hurled at you? People talking about you? Lie on you? Mistreat you all the while they tell you that they love you, are for you, and smile in your face; thinking of new ways to manipulate you in order to further use you to their benefit with no plans of giving you credit.

But God is awesome in that He will open your eyes to their evil and diabolical schemes toward you; it may appear that you are passively resisting but in the spirit, you are actively praying unto God regarding the situation. You are asking and inviting God into the situation; He is the One who is with you and will go to bat for you all while it may appear that you are taking things lying down

There is no need to make it public because God has a way of making spectacles out of devils or the devils that some allow to control them. He did just that when His Son died on the cross at Calvary. He did not come down, all the while it appeared He was taking the persecution lying down: the trumped up charges, the suffering, the abandonment by his own kind of lying down....No, it appeared that He took all that He endured passively, but truth be told, He took it Prayerfully, Patiently while experiencing physical Pain, Peacefully, Practically, and Perfectly WITHOUT sin!

Yes, it may have appeared as though Jesus took it lying down, but He took it because He was a OBEDIENT UNTO DEATH! He took it, because He loved the Father and He loved us WHILE WE WERE YET IN OUR SINS! He took it so that we wouldn't have to die. He took it so that we didn't have to suffer the shame. He took it so that we could have access to the tree of life. He took it lying down all the while preparing for the third day when He got up!

He got up and yet they thought they took His life but my God, my God...He laid His life down and He raised it up again! He got up so that we could have a HOPE & A FUTURE! He got up leaving with Him the blueprint that we can follow in similar situations of life! He got up all the while it appeared He, King Jesus--King of kings, Lord of lords, My Savior, my Redeemer, FOREVER...was taking it lying down but on third day He rose with All Power SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER INTERCEDING ON OUR BEHALF!

It's that same power beloved that Jesus used to demonstrate self-control and not act out in the flesh but THE POWER to FORGIVE, THE POWER TO SHOW COMPASSION, THE POWER TO LONG-SUFFER WITH OTHERS, THE POWER TO SHOW MORE LOVE, without compromise ! That dunamis power, not our own power, but in God's power because apart from God we can do absolutely NOTHING--NO FORGIVENESS, NO MERCY, NO LOVE, NO PATIENCE, NO SELF-CONTROL, NO KINDNESS, NO JOY, NO PEACE, NO GENTLENESS WITHOUT HIS POWER & STRENGTH WORKING THROUGH US, those who are His! So yes, it may appear as if you're taking it lying down when dealing with disgruntle co-workers or costumers on the job but actually you are praying asking God to give you more patience and season your words with grace that all you do glorifies God in the midst of your situation.  This is how you WIN, OVERCOME & CONQUEROR,  in fact, the Bible says, you are more than a conqueror through Him who loves us!

So it may appear that you are taking it lying down, but make sure that you are sending prayers up all the while relying on the power that is working within you!  Be blessed!

Diamonds, I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate each and every one of you. I pray that everything you have read so far has been a source of encouragement. 😊 Please have a safe and wonderful 4th of July holiday weekend! Sincerely and with the love of Christ, Rev. Dana
Today, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. The lenten season is observed to better appreciate the death, and resurrection of Christ through self-examination, repentance, prayer, fasting, and self-denial. In addition, Ash Wednesday has another significant meaning for me. It was on this day, Ash Wednesday that the Lord brought me out of my induced coma in 2000, March 8th to be exact. Prior to that, I could only recall seeing my brother the night of the fire  in January who accompanied me in the ambulance while being transported to what was then called UMDNJ in Newark, NJ. On that Ash Wednesday, I can remember seeing both my grandmother and my mommy sitting in my hospital room. Grandma holding a can of Pepsi, and mommy doing something with my feet, lol. Probably clipping my toe nails. There is also that taste of chicken broth or soup I will never forget fed to me intravenously along with other fluids to sustain me while I was in a coma. Its been 16 years from t

God Loves Us At Our Worst!

The Apostle Paul also known as the persecutor of Christians had a "come to Jesus moment" when He, Jesus came to him. He asked Paul, why are you persecuting me, his body, the church and was physically blinded which he had already been spiritually. Paul was zealous about persecuting Christians because he believed in his mind that he was justified in his cause but in his heart, he knew not God. His heart was far from God.  If he had, his actions would not have reflected as such. Right there where Paul was at his worst, even him....Christ died for him. Even Paul refers to himself as the worst of sinners.  Peter also comes to mind having denied Jesus three times out of fear in order to save himself from persecution. And yet, God still saw fit to redeem them and make them meet for their Master's use. My friends, whatever your "WORST-state" is, God is WILLING to meet you right where you are.....just ask David, and the woman at the well, the lame man at the
