Today, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. The lenten season is observed to better appreciate the death, and resurrection of Christ through self-examination, repentance, prayer, fasting, and self-denial. In addition, Ash Wednesday has another significant meaning for me.
It was on this day, Ash Wednesday that the Lord brought me out of my induced coma in 2000, March 8th to be exact. Prior to that, I could only recall seeing my brother the night of the fire in January who accompanied me in the ambulance while being transported to what was then called UMDNJ in Newark, NJ.
On that Ash Wednesday, I can remember seeing both my grandmother and my mommy sitting in my hospital room. Grandma holding a can of Pepsi, and mommy doing something with my feet, lol. Probably clipping my toe nails. There is also that taste of chicken broth or soup I will never forget fed to me intravenously along with other fluids to sustain me while I was in a coma.
Its been 16 years from the day I opened my eyes. I couldnt speak until the trache was removed but I not only have the ability to speak, sing, counsel but God gave me the authority and anointed me to preach His precious Word.
I would have never thought God could use someone like me who struggled with issues of low-self esteem, feelings of rejection from her biological father who wasnt consistently in her life and always feeling the need to be accepted. Heart was growing cold. Then to add being burned over 60% of my body and slight disfigurement to both my hands BUT GOD saw fit to reach down from heaven and grab me, heal me, restore me, adopt me, loves all of me, said daughter, sex is not the way to find me. You don't have to compromise because I already love you and I will never leave you. God has proved over and over to me and sometimes it is hard for me to believe that God is my Father, a good good Father! He has never failed me and He never will.
For someone out there who has ever been in my shoes, His love is big enough and great enough to help you through whatever your heart issue especially your sin issue!
I love Him and so grateful that I not only know Him but have relationship with my Father and He has called me to tell the world about Him...that my light shine that others may see and glorify Him....prayerfully they will know Him for themselves!
When nothing else could help, Love lifted me! I most certainly can't live without His love and there is nothing that will separate me from His love!
To All My Diamonds, You Continue To Let Your Light Shine Because The Light That Shines Through You Is Purposeful! He that began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ!
Oh how I love Jesus because He first loved me!
Love,
He's Mine And I'm His....
Proud Daughter of the King

I heard it said once that people don't evangelize because they are too concerned about their finances. Instead of concerning ourselves with our finances, we need to make our trust in God a priority. Outside of God we will never have enough or be satisfied: therefore, we ought to totally rely upon the strength of God who is our Source and promised that we would not go without lack nor seed begging for bread. I've tried God at His word. There was a time I needed $500 and God laid me on the heart of someone and said, "God laid you on my heart to be a blessing to." The "things" we spend time worrying about that would potentially take our minds off of doing the work of God, God is already working that situation out for you. You just have to trust Him and continue in the work while you wait for Him to fulfill that which He promised. Now, if you haven't accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior then these promises do not apply to you but are available because Jes...
Diamonds, Starting over can be a very humbling experience but one you should not resist. Its all apart of the process for God to make all things new in our lives. Being afforded the opportunity to have a fresh new start, or afforded the opportunity to blossom in a new pot of dirt speaks to both the grace and the goodness of God. Regardless of whatever your yesterday dictatated to you, the moment God allowed you to start over should keep your focus foward. You can't drive and arrive at your destination looking backwards. Besides, that chapter is over. Finished! Where God is leading you is full of promise and the production of fruit that will last. Get ready for your later days to be greater because you are no longer your past! Walk in the confidence of God knowing He will never lead you where He is not and  He has your best interest in mind! Be Blessed & know since you have a reason to shine (because God resides on the inside of you) let your light shine so that others may...

Taking It Lying Down!

Diamonds, What do you do when your being mistreated? Insults being hurled at you? People talking about you? Lie on you? Mistreat you all the while they tell you that they love you, are for you, and smile in your face; thinking of new ways to manipulate you in order to further use you to their benefit with no plans of giving you credit.  But God is awesome in that He will open your eyes to their evil and diabolical schemes toward you; it may appear that you are passively resisting but in the spirit, you are actively praying unto God regarding the situation. You are asking and inviting God into the situation; He is the One who is with you and will go to bat for you all while it may appear that you are taking things lying down .  There is no need to make it public because God has a way of making spectacles out of devils or the devils that some allow to control them. He did just that when His Son died on the cross at Calvary. He did not come down , all the while it app...
