For the past few days, I've been wrestling and having conversations with my husband and my sister about the tragic events that have occurred over the last few days and God kept reminding me that transformation cannot come from a heart that is unconverted. I just received confirmation after listening to my pastor's weekly phone call blast of encouragement and love, that this is most certainly "a heart issue" and out of the heart flows the issues of life.
We are placing so much emphasis on humanity to change, our judicial system to change but at the core, we need a change of heart that can only be transformed through the Word of God.(Matthew 28:18-20) In essence, all lives matter because when we consider eternity, we all need to be saved from our sins!
Many may not agree, but what we are witnessing is the manifestation of what's on the inside of an unrepentant heart overall: evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, arrogance, and foolishness. (Mark 7:21-23)
All these evils come from within........Again, what we are witnessing is a reflection of what's going on in the inner man/woman but through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and the love of God shed abroad in our hearts after we believe, we can have the strength to love our neighbors as ourselves and we can do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God.

No Room For Excuses!

There was this young woman diagnosed with leukemia and she spent a considerable amount of time in cancer treatment facilities.   Everyone that came in contact with this young lady always referred to her as remarkable, and resilient. It baffled them how she was able to keep such a sweet spirit considering all she has endured.  The doctors and medical specialists couldn't understand it. When they would shake their heads, she opened her heart and then began to testify of God's goodness in the midst of the storm. When the doctors came in with some "bad news" she was quick to tell them about the hope she had in Christ Jesus. Again, they couldn't understand how she could believe in a God that allowed her to experience so much suffering. Politely she would explain that her suffering is not a death sentence or a reflection of God's lack of love for her. In her suffering she experiences the grace of God that others in her weakness may witness His strength. ...
Diamonds, there was a young person a part of her church's youth group and she shared that she wanted a job in a strip club. "The strip club," they asked? "Yes, the strip club. There is a job opening as a cook and while I'm there I want to share the gospel with the strippers," she explained to her youth group. Well, her youth leader, along with her youth group carpooled to the strip club and prayed over the building in the dead of winter. They then proceeded by writing her work sc hedule down after she got the job and when she was scheduled to work, they each agreed to pray. After the young person ministered to the other young women in the strip club and introduced them to Jesus Christ, they responded by coming into the church, giving their lives to Christ and made the decision to change occupations. What an awesome testimony of God's love, light, and grace being dispensed into the world! May this testimony encourage someone to follow God's ...

Naked & Ashamed

"Naked & Ashamed!" Do you remember a time when you felt naked and ashamed? Perhaps you are feeling naked right now having discovered you are pregnant when others were unaware that you were even having premarital sex. What if you discovered you have a STD or the person you thought cared so much about you and who you surrendered your virginity to broke up with you. To heighten the issue, your ex has just told his boys or her girls about how you didn't live up to their expect ations in bed. Well, let me tell you a story about Adam & Eve who sinned against God and afterwards they experienced what we could call, "the walk of shame." So much so that they tried covering themselves up by making a covering with fig leaves and they hid from God. The Bible says, "Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame," Gen. 2:25. (NLT) "Naked" my friends and "felt no shame" are in perfect harmony; there are no barriers and no ...
