On the Job Training!

Diamonds, God will qualify you for the position. I have seen it too many times in my own faith walk of how God will have a place already planted in order for you to receive the necessary training that will deem you qualified to carry out a specific assignment He has called you to complete. I have walked through many doors but before entering them, I was wondering how in the heck am I going to qualify for this position with my little experience to find that God has already worked out the situation. I have personally heard,"Dana, you may not have the experience, but you will be able to aquire it here."

I have been out of work in the traditional sense for many years and I have heard so often that you must be qualified, you must be prepared and then God will open up opportunities for you (and He does) but in my case, God has always presented me with open doors for preparedness that I know only He has opened that would allow me to learn according to my learning style. I learn by doing. I can read material all day and night but until I have applied it, it does not stick. He does that for me because He knows me. He loves me. He knows you and He loves you too! That's why you can trust the fact that God will not and He won't set you up to fail but to WIN! God got this!!!

God has everything covered beloved. Trust Him. I was wondering how I was going to get into graduate school for my first masters and before I filled out my application, God opened the door with, "You've been accepted!"

I may not have known everything but God provided me with the accessibility to learn anything and everything that I needed in order to grow and go higher in Him.

I pray this encourages someone. You may not know everything, the ends and the outs but I know who does; God will prepare you. He will open the necessary doors and help you to acquire the necessary skillset in order to accomplish His will for your life. So whatever God has placed deep down on the inside of you to pursue, trust Him and don't allow the lack of experience to keep you from going forth because He will most assuredly make a way for you!!  I'm a living witness!

Today, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. The lenten season is observed to better appreciate the death, and resurrection of Christ through self-examination, repentance, prayer, fasting, and self-denial. In addition, Ash Wednesday has another significant meaning for me. It was on this day, Ash Wednesday that the Lord brought me out of my induced coma in 2000, March 8th to be exact. Prior to that, I could only recall seeing my brother the night of the fire  in January who accompanied me in the ambulance while being transported to what was then called UMDNJ in Newark, NJ. On that Ash Wednesday, I can remember seeing both my grandmother and my mommy sitting in my hospital room. Grandma holding a can of Pepsi, and mommy doing something with my feet, lol. Probably clipping my toe nails. There is also that taste of chicken broth or soup I will never forget fed to me intravenously along with other fluids to sustain me while I was in a coma. Its been 16 years fr...

No Room For Excuses!

There was this young woman diagnosed with leukemia and she spent a considerable amount of time in cancer treatment facilities.   Everyone that came in contact with this young lady always referred to her as remarkable, and resilient. It baffled them how she was able to keep such a sweet spirit considering all she has endured.  The doctors and medical specialists couldn't understand it. When they would shake their heads, she opened her heart and then began to testify of God's goodness in the midst of the storm. When the doctors came in with some "bad news" she was quick to tell them about the hope she had in Christ Jesus. Again, they couldn't understand how she could believe in a God that allowed her to experience so much suffering. Politely she would explain that her suffering is not a death sentence or a reflection of God's lack of love for her. In her suffering she experiences the grace of God that others in her weakness may witness His strength. ...
Diamonds, there was a young person a part of her church's youth group and she shared that she wanted a job in a strip club. "The strip club," they asked? "Yes, the strip club. There is a job opening as a cook and while I'm there I want to share the gospel with the strippers," she explained to her youth group. Well, her youth leader, along with her youth group carpooled to the strip club and prayed over the building in the dead of winter. They then proceeded by writing her work sc hedule down after she got the job and when she was scheduled to work, they each agreed to pray. After the young person ministered to the other young women in the strip club and introduced them to Jesus Christ, they responded by coming into the church, giving their lives to Christ and made the decision to change occupations. What an awesome testimony of God's love, light, and grace being dispensed into the world! May this testimony encourage someone to follow God's ...
