Pray until times get better....

Often times, alot of our frustrations, hurts, and those things that upset us that we post on Facebook, IG, Twitter would be more effectively handled if we took it to the Lord in prayer.

Jesus was most certainly hurt. Surely the Apostle Paul and the Disciples but how more appropriate it is to take our cares, our concerns to the Lord in prayer.

Perhaphs some of us wouldn't talk so quick out lf our necks or our mouths because we know God attends his ear to our voices when we cry out to him.

We have to stop sending out the wrong message to the world that is constantly watching us, looking for something different than what they see on reality TV (which is scripted as well).

Yet we have a script, we have The Book, The Bible when we open it to read to guard our mouths or atleast give us what to say when we dont know what to say.

We can keep it real. God most certainly kept it real but on those moments when we want to blurt out obscenities and black out on a sistah or brother, BE ANGRY BUT SIN NOT!

Speak peaceably I believe the word of God exhorts us to do with one another. By all means, when all else fails, pray. When you feel broken and you understand why things are happening a certain way, pray. Dont start talking out of your neck but out of revence for God and our mission to lead others to Christ, let us be ever so careful how we do and say certain things in Jesus's name!

Today, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. The lenten season is observed to better appreciate the death, and resurrection of Christ through self-examination, repentance, prayer, fasting, and self-denial. In addition, Ash Wednesday has another significant meaning for me. It was on this day, Ash Wednesday that the Lord brought me out of my induced coma in 2000, March 8th to be exact. Prior to that, I could only recall seeing my brother the night of the fire  in January who accompanied me in the ambulance while being transported to what was then called UMDNJ in Newark, NJ. On that Ash Wednesday, I can remember seeing both my grandmother and my mommy sitting in my hospital room. Grandma holding a can of Pepsi, and mommy doing something with my feet, lol. Probably clipping my toe nails. There is also that taste of chicken broth or soup I will never forget fed to me intravenously along with other fluids to sustain me while I was in a coma. "Naked & Ashamed!" Do you remember a time when you felt naked and ashamed? Perhaps you are feeling naked right now having discovered you are pregnant when others were unaware that you were even having premarital sex. What if you discovered you have a STD or the person you thought cared so much about you and who you surrendered your virginity to broke up with you. To heighten the issue, your ex has just told his boys or her girls about how you didn't live up to their expect ations in bed.
