I'm okay with being a piece of clay!

Diamonds, it is easy to make excuses and it is easy to feel sorry for yourself but you have a living hope. With the start of a new day, there you will find the unfolding of brand new mercies blooming right before your eyes. Take this as an advantage and rise to the occasion of God's will for your life. Ask Him to continue to mold you and shape you into the masterpiece He already sees you as....now ask Him to help you see the vision He sees when He looks at you as a finished product made by His hands.

Don't count yourself out because the process is uncomfortable or because things didn't go according to your idea of a perfect plan.

Ask the Lord to fill in the missing pieces with his perfect presence while grooming you into the servant leader you are meant to be. The servant leader He is molding and making you to be for His glory.

Remember, pottery is a messy product. Don't be fooled by the finished product sitting on the shelf. That piece of pottery began as clay and water. It also had to go through the fire under the observation of the Potter. In the Potter's hands, it's okay to be a piece of clay!

There was this young woman diagnosed with leukemia and she spent a considerable amount of time in cancer treatment facilities.   Everyone that came in contact with this young lady always referred to her as remarkable, and resilient. Today, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. The lenten season is observed to better appreciate the death, and resurrection of Christ through self-examination, repentance, prayer, fasting, and self-denial. In addition, Ash Wednesday has another significant meaning for me. It was on this day, Ash Wednesday that the Lord brought me out of my induced coma in 2000, March 8th to be exact. Prior to that, I could only recall seeing my brother the night of the fire  in January who accompanied me in the ambulance while being transported to what was then called UMDNJ in Newark, NJ. On that Ash Wednesday, I can remember seeing both my grandmother and my mommy sitting in my hospital room. Grandma holding a can of Pepsi, and mommy doing something with my feet, lol. Probably clipping my toe nails. There is also that taste of chicken broth or soup I will never forget fed to me intravenously along with other fluids to sustain me while I was in a coma. "Naked & Ashamed!" Do you remember a time when you felt naked and ashamed? Perhaps you are feeling naked right now having discovered you are pregnant when others were unaware that you were even having premarital sex. What if you discovered you have a STD or the person you thought cared so much about you and who you surrendered your virginity to broke up with you. To heighten the issue, your ex has just told his boys or her girls about how you didn't live up to their expect ations in bed.
