You Are Valuable

Diamonds,
You cant live your life trying to appease everybody, or get them to like you while compromising who you are for the sake of winning them when they already have a warped perception that they are better than you.

I am talking about fostering and nurturing a positive self worth. Your self worth does not come from those around you but has been given to you from the One who created you fearfully and wonderfully.

God has an awesome perception of who you are and you never have to live beyond who He has created you to be.

Don't look to man for validation or affirmation because, once man knows you need this in order to function,  they will manipulate you and mistreat you once you no longer serve a purpose for their personal gain.

Jesus came that we may have life more abundantly. Not be held captive or placed in bondage because we may suffer from poor self worth.

You are valuable to God and he would not have you to be mistreated by anyone. He is interested though in exposing you to the truth that you may be set free.

Even if you have sinned, we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God but God loves you and sent his Son to die for you.

Think about it in this way:
Just because a dollar bill has been balled up, stepped on and thrown on the floor does not mean it loses its value.

Many of us have had premarital sex, lied, stolen, hated someone in our heart, was prideful, greedy, drank ourselves under the table, sold drugs, watched porn, betrayed someone's trust, unwilling to forgive, etc. However,  our sins were not so bad that Jesus was willing to change his mind about laying his life down for us.

He was not so hung up on what we did today or even what we committed against God on yesterday. God was more interested on providing you with a path that would lead you to a bright future. That also includes being healthy in your emotional state regarding how you perceive yourself in order to discern between the truth and a lie.

Youre valuable to God and I hope you are encouraged today to know that nothing will ever separate you from the love of God. When Jesus died, his blood was shed because of his love for us and love covers a multitude of sins.

Not that we ought to think more highly than we should, but when we think about God's thoughts toward us, know that his thoughts toward us are all good! Never allow anyone to treat you less than you are worth and you dont allow the enemy or the father of lies to distort the image that God desires for you to embrace. God loves you and as you walk in this truth, walk into the fullness of who God purposed and called you to be!!

You Are Valuable!

Sincerely,
Rev. Dana

Today, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. The lenten season is observed to better appreciate the death, and resurrection of Christ through self-examination, repentance, prayer, fasting, and self-denial. In addition, Ash Wednesday has another significant meaning for me. It was on this day, Ash Wednesday that the Lord brought me out of my induced coma in 2000, March 8th to be exact. Prior to that, I could only recall seeing my brother the night of the fire  in January who accompanied me in the ambulance while being transported to what was then called UMDNJ in Newark, NJ. On that Ash Wednesday, I can remember seeing both my grandmother and my mommy sitting in my hospital room. Grandma holding a can of Pepsi, and mommy doing something with my feet, lol. Probably clipping my toe nails. There is also that taste of chicken broth or soup I will never forget fed to me intravenously along with other fluids to sustain me while I was in a coma. Its been 16 years fr...
Diamonds, I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate each and every one of you. I pray that everything you have read so far has been a source of encouragement. 😊 Please have a safe and wonderful 4th of July holiday weekend! Sincerely and with the love of Christ, Rev. Dana
I heard it said once that people don't evangelize because they are too concerned about their finances. Instead of concerning ourselves with our finances, we need to make our trust in God a priority. Outside of God we will never have enough or be satisfied: therefore, we ought to totally rely upon the strength of God who is our Source and promised that we would not go without lack nor seed begging for bread. I've tried God at His word. There was a time I needed $500 and God laid me on the heart of someone and said, "God laid you on my heart to be a blessing to." The "things" we spend time worrying about that would potentially take our minds off of doing the work of God, God is already working that situation out for you. You just have to trust Him and continue in the work while you wait for Him to fulfill that which He promised. Now, if you haven't accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior then these promises do not apply to you but are available because Jes...
