A Servant's Heart

Diamonds, I prayed asking the Lord to give me a servant's heart and how else did I think this request would manifest itself? The Lord will place you in situations to serve others and I will be honest, when He did today, I didnt possess anything resembling the heart of a servant. I complained. I thought of what other personal things I wanted and had to do but being a servant means going out of your way for others in need. People are in so much need and the needs can be met if servants of God are willing to humble themselves and make themselves available.

In what ways is God calling you to serve but you are too busy to lend a helping hand? In what ways can you make yourself available for someone that needs a ride to the grocery store, laundry mat, or the doctor's office without pay? Not to mention, before dropping them off home, offering them something to eat or extending yourself alittle further by asking the simple question, " Is there anything else I can do for you?"

We tell people God loves them. We tell them that love is an action word. Well, today my friends, I thank God for the opportunity for me to be His hands and His feet!

I pray when the opportunity avails itself for you to be a blessing, you will accept the invitation to serve. Most importantly, when you do, serve as you are serving unto God and not man. Don't look for a reward from them but Him who has called you.

Love you all and in every way you can, be a blessing to someone!

Good Night!

No Room For Excuses!

There was this young woman diagnosed with leukemia and she spent a considerable amount of time in cancer treatment facilities.   Everyone that came in contact with this young lady always referred to her as remarkable, and resilient. It baffled them how she was able to keep such a sweet spirit considering all she has endured.  The doctors and medical specialists couldn't understand it. When they would shake their heads, she opened her heart and then began to testify of God's goodness in the midst of the storm. When the doctors came in with some "bad news" she was quick to tell them about the hope she had in Christ Jesus. Again, they couldn't understand how she could believe in a God that allowed her to experience so much suffering. Politely she would explain that her suffering is not a death sentence or a reflection of God's lack of love for her. In her suffering she experiences the grace of God that others in her weakness may witness His strength. ...

Naked & Ashamed

"Naked & Ashamed!" Do you remember a time when you felt naked and ashamed? Perhaps you are feeling naked right now having discovered you are pregnant when others were unaware that you were even having premarital sex. What if you discovered you have a STD or the person you thought cared so much about you and who you surrendered your virginity to broke up with you. To heighten the issue, your ex has just told his boys or her girls about how you didn't live up to their expect ations in bed. Well, let me tell you a story about Adam & Eve who sinned against God and afterwards they experienced what we could call, "the walk of shame." So much so that they tried covering themselves up by making a covering with fig leaves and they hid from God. The Bible says, "Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame," Gen. 2:25. (NLT) "Naked" my friends and "felt no shame" are in perfect harmony; there are no barriers and no ...

#REMEMBER

On the eve of the 18th Anniversary of the campus fire at Seton Hall University (1/19/00), the Lord woke me up early this morning with thoughts of my late beautiful mother, aka "Red,"  👄 Doris Marlene King-Christmas. She left this earth serving and caring for both my sick grandmother as well as myself (2002). On the day of her aneurysm, we were preparing for another surgery related to the fire but she held her head high while fighting back her own tears, held my hand and to get my mind off of surgery, she asked me to cook a packet of oodles of noodles (LOL) for her. That woman was determined for me to regain my activities of daily living because little did I know, I would one day have a family to care of for myself by the grace of God. I could not have made it this far without the Lord using her to begin the process of healing. She kept a song in her heart, and a step in her foot (picturing her dancing like David did minus the clothes falling off (LOL). I would have been l...
